Geralyn Wraith

Born in Saskatoon into a military family of Irish and Ojibway descent, Geralyn Wraith was raised in various Canadian cities throughout her life. Her high school inspirations led her to apprentice as a makeup artist in Toronto, where she joined the CBC in 1975. Specializing in various facets of makeup artistry, from straight makeup in film to special effects and prosthetics, Geralyn has worked on numerous productions including Kids in the Hall where she created the makeup, prosthetics and special effects for six years, Detroit Rock City, Midnight’s Children and Soul Food. Her various award nominations include the 1993 Prix Anix, which she won for her work in Kids in the Hall, ACE Cable and Aboriginal Achievement Award. In addition to this, Geralyn also received the Civilian Citation Award for her work with Metro Intelligence and Metro Police Board.
