CMU College of Makeup Art & Design provides a job posting board that sends out a wide range of opportunities to graduates. The school’s high standards of excellence are well known and we are regularly approached for opportunities throughout the makeup industry. This includes collaboration with universities and colleges, independent films, music videos, reality television shows, theatrical productions, creature labs, weddings and fashion runway shows, to name a few. Most provide a kit fee, credit and copies of the final project for portfolio development. All jobs posted reward students and graduates with invaluable experience, contacts and referrals.

CMU is proud of the partnership that we have created with the Canadian Film Centre (CFC), for which we are the exclusive makeup artist provider. We also offer theatre makeup workshops for George Brown Theatre School. CMU has close ties with Ryerson University, York University, the University of Toronto and MAC Cosmetics, who we regularly provide makeup artists for.

Incoming jobs are reviewed then emailed to graduates who have taken the necessary courses. Graduates have access to the system for the following time periods:

  • Fashion Photographic Makeup Artist Program (6 Weeks) graduates will receive postings for 3 months after graduation.
  • Total Fashion Makeup Artist Program (8 Weeks) graduates will receive postings for 3 months after graduation.
  • Advanced Fashion Makeup Artist Program (13 Weeks) graduates will receive postings for 12 months after graduation.
  • Creature & Character Design Program (17 Weeks) graduates will receive postings for 12 months after graduation.
  • Comprehensive Makeup Artist Program (26 Weeks) graduates will receive postings for 12 months after graduation.
