Most recently he served as General Manager and led the successful launch of Gusto, a food-themed specialty television channel and digital media platform, which was acquired by Bell Media in September 2016. Prior to that he oversaw operations for social media management consultancy Jumpwire Media; and was also Film Commissioner for the province of Saskatchewan where he scaled up production activity, attracting movie & TV series productions from international broadcasters and Hollywood studios.

Prasuhn, who will take up his new role at the beginning of January 2017, said “I’m very pleased, honoured and excited to be joining CMU College, which is extremely well positioned to meet the growing demand in the creative industries for highly trained makeup and digital F/X artists and craftspeople. With film and television production at an all time high in Canada and dramatic growth in the digital media and gaming sectors, this is a time of great opportunity for CMU and its students.”

For over 30 years, CMU College has provided training in character design and makeup artistry, preparing graduates to work in the entertainment industry. This year, CMU was proud to announce a groundbreaking new program, Digital Effects: Creature & Character Design, which is housed in a second, recently opened campus in downtown Toronto. This exciting addition to the CMU core programming allows students to learn from the experts to conceptualize creatures and characters in physical and digital form for film, television, gaming, animation, 3D printing and more.
