We will accept the COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada and/or the World Health Organization (WHO)

Individuals who have received the first two doses of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine will, after a minimum of 14 days from receiving the second dose, be able to participate in on-campus activities for a grace period that allows them to receive a third dose. At the end of an individual's grace period, they will not be permitted on campus until they have received their third dose of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine.  Please contact us regarding your circumstances. 

Fully-vaccinated Ontarians can log onto the provincial portal and download or print out your electronic COVID-19 receipt, a process that requires an individual's OHIP card, date of birth, and postal code similar to what you need to book an appointment. You will then go to a page with the option to book an appointment or view your receipts. You can then download a PDF copy of each of your shots. If you have received your vaccination through a different resource please provide a scanned/photo of documents provided to you on the day you received your vaccination. 

CMU will continue to follow the COVID-19 regulations in place by Ontario public health authorities and the Canadian government. Currently, facial coverings and physical distancing are mandatory while on campus.

Due to the nature of our programs requiring hands-on practical applications we are not able to offer our courses fully online.

We will continue to provide online learning in order to provide access and flexibility if and as may be required (ie. in the event a student contracts COVID-19 during their studies). However, as of September, 2021, all programs are delivered full in-person and students are expected to attend class as scheduled. 

Everyone returning to campus for in-person teaching, learning and work must show proof of having been fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine.

For those without an Ontario health card you can locate your local public health unit by entering your postal code. Please call the number listed to book an appointment.

Given this notice is going out with ample time to schedule and receive at least one of your shots, we expect you to have your first dose with appointments/plans for your second dose by September 7th.

You must be fully vaccinated to participate in on-campus classes, exams, and photoshoots. Failing to be vaccinated will result in not being able to complete your program requirements.

We acknowledge the uncertainty surrounding mixing vaccine doses, especially if you have received two doses of a different vaccine. We will continue to follow the Canadian government's recommendations and assess each exceptional case individually. 

Yes, everyone in Canada over the age of 12, including those who are not residents or citizens, can get vaccinated free of charge. You can book an appointment through your local pharmacy. Without a health card, you are not able to use the provincial booking system. Locate your local public health unit and contact number by visiting Ontario.ca/bookvaccine and then select the "no Ontario health card" option from the drop-down menu under "Health Card Type."

It is strongly encouraged by public health officials to wait until you have a negative test, and are completely symptom-free before your vaccine appointment. Following these recommendations ensures you are taking part in reducing the risk of exposure.
