Rocky Faulkner ignited his passion for special effects makeup as a child, staying up late to watch scary movies with his father. The ball started rolling when he got resourceful and discovered how-to books about special effects makeup.

Rocky has made a name for himself as one of Hollywood’s most talented makeup effects artists with hundreds of Film & TV projects spanning more than 20 years. And he got his start right here in Toronto at CMU, which he remembers fondly as “an amazing experience.”

He's worked on Film & TV sets from Dancing with the Stars to Dennis Villeneuve’s 2021 remake of the sci-fi epic Dune. In 2019, Rocky won a primetime Emmy for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Limited Series, Movie or Special for his work on Star Trek: Discovery.
