C | MU COLLEGE OF MAKEUP ART AND DESIGN APPOINTS NEW LEADER

Higher Education, Media and Entertainment Executive Barry Patterson Named President

Toronto, April 22, 2014 – Pamela Earle owner of C | MU College of Makeup Art & Design (Complections), North America’s leader in professional makeup art and design education is pleased to announce that Barry Patterson has joined the organization as President effective immediately. Earle has reorganized C | MU to assume the role of Chair and CEO, with Patterson overseeing the day-to-day operations, strategic direction, and growth of the college. Patterson has more than 18 years experience working in leadership roles in communications and marketing within the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Recently, as Executive Director, Communications at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC where he led the institution’s content creation, marketing, communications and branding in preparation for its move to a new state-of-the-art campus. Previously, Barry worked at the Canadian Film Centre, CBC Television, Astral Media and Famous Players where he developed multi-award winning campaigns focused on launching and revitalizing brands, enhancing reputation and strategically building organizational success.
