The Academy has announced their shortlist of films selected for the makeup and hairstyling Oscar. In the running are Maleficent, Guardians of the Galaxy and the recent Foxcatcher, to name a few. Some of these contenders are also great reminders of the common illusion that the subtlest makeup touche , usually have a complex design and time-consuming application behind them.
