CMU College is pleased to announce that the extremely talented Stephen Lynch will be joining the CMU Advisory Board as its newest member.

This year Stephen was honoured by the film and television industry as the recipient of the 2016 Canadian Screen Award for Best Achievement in Television Makeup for the hit show Orphan Black. As the Head of Makeup Department Stephen seamlessly transformed Emmy-winning actress Tatiana Maslany into multiple clone characters. This challenging and incredible transformation caught the eyes of many and Stephen has been featured in publications that include, Vanity FairInStyle, GlamourSundanceTV and Makeup Artist Magazine (to name a few) describing his artistic process.

In addition to his 5 season run on Orphan Black Stephen has an extensive career in film and television with Head of Makeup Department credits on productions like, Queer As Folk, Slings and Arrows, Long Days Journey into Night, I’ve Heard the Mermaids Sing, Haven and Camp Rock.

Stephen has made valuable contributions to CMU as a well-revered instructor in the Film and Television Makeup Department and students and staff are excited for his return to the classroom in the near future.

CMU looks forward to working closely with Stephen in his new role as an Advisory Board member, in which he will continue to help develop skilled artists in all makeup artistry disciplines.
